This notice covers this website, autonym.me, before the hosted service opens. The service will have its own notice, published before accounts open.

No tracking

This site sets no cookies and loads nothing from third parties. Fonts, styles and scripts are served from this domain. No analytics run, no advertising or tracking script is present, and nothing you do here is measured or shared.

What the site processes to run

Serving a page means handling the network address your request arrives from. The proxy in front of this site and the site's own server hold that address briefly in order to serve the response and to limit how often the notify form can be submitted from one connection. The rate-limit counter lives only inside the running server, is never written to disk and is not joined to anything else. It is discarded one hour after the request that created it, whether or not anything else arrives from that connection, and restarting the site discards it sooner. The hosting provider may keep its own short-lived operational logs under its own retention.

If you leave your email address

Your address is stored for one purpose: to send you one message when the service opens. No newsletter, no marketing and no research contact. Nothing else is stored with it - no network address, no browser details, no referrer - beyond the date you gave it.

It is deleted once that message has been sent, and from any backup copy within thirty days of that. You can ask for it to be removed sooner, at any time, and it will be removed within thirty days of asking. Write to hello@autonym.dev.

Where it is stored

The list is a single file on one persistent volume on this site's host. Access is limited to the people who operate the site. It is not sold, shared or passed to a third party for their own purposes.
